Rix Family

Through the generous donations of the Rix Family Foundation, the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Education supports the work of rural teachers. Eleanor Rix was the wife of philanthropist Donald Rix and spent her life dedicated to teaching. This work done in her name contributes to the health of all communities by supporting research on rural teaching excellence and innovation.
